Durie Heritage are building surveyors who specialise in old buildings. We are specialists in traditional construction and especially in the diagnosis of defects.

Moisture and its effects are very much misunderstood and used by the damp industry to creat fear. We provide clarity and continuing support and assistance to all our clients. Whether you live in a listed historic castle or a tenement flat, the materials remain the same.

We use high resolution video drones to inspect the highest roofs and chimneys; thermal imaging cameras to assess heat loss and help identify moisture; calcium carbide meter and thermo-hygrometers to measure and identify patterns of moisture; sample testing to help identify the source of moisture etc, but the most important thing we use is our expert knowledge of traditional construction, heritage and historic buildings.

We survey listed churches and country houses but, unlike larger companies, are also happy to help owners of terraces and small houses. You are just as important.
